Advocating as a Healthcare Professional and a Colon Cancer Patient

Abigail Tooker, BSN RN is a nurse at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital. She was diagnosed when she was just 30 years old and is a stage 4 colon cancer patient at Lombardi Cancer Center. She continues to work on the Mother-Baby unit while actively receiving treatment. Abigail has a passion for teaching new nurses and is presently pursuing her Master’s in Nursing Education.
