Margaret-Ann Simonetta is the Chief Communications Officer of The Raymond Foundation and a Seminar Lecturer at Harvard University in the realm of Academic and Business Communications and Public Speaking.
A passionate advocate for colon cancer outreach and education, Margaret-Ann is a frequent multi-media spokeswoman for colon cancer awareness. Since 2009, she has aided colon cancer groups such as G. I. Cancers Alliance, Michael’s Mission, the Jay Monahan Center for Gastrointestinal Health, and Colon Cancer Alliance, among many other organizations and foundations.
Margaret-Ann has coordinated outreach efforts on behalf of the Bayer Healthcare sponsored National Colon Cancer Prevention Tour, numerous Colon Cancer Alliance National Conferences, and has been awarded and honored for her advocacy efforts by foundations, such as Alive & Kickin’. She has also used her background in singing to raise awareness for the colon cancer sector by singing the National Anthem at Citi Field (home field for the Mets MLB Baseball organization), and in Central Park, for fundraisers established by the Colon Cancer Challenge. Her favorite activity thus far has been ringing the NASDAQ closing bell twice for colon cancer awareness month and being featured on the billboards in Times Square, New York.
A graduate of Harvard University in the field of Anthropology, and a broadcast journalism degree holder from New York University and New York Film Academy, Margaret-Ann’s academic and professional background is unparalleled in the colon cancer awareness sector. Before returning to Harvard University as a Seminar Lecturer, she was a field reporter and Good Day New York producer at WNYW FOX 5 New York. Now, she is putting her on-camera roots back into the academic field to equip students from around the globe with the necessary communicative tools one needs for their professional endeavors; including colon cancer patients and their caregivers.
